Welcome to the World Baby E

It is always a special birth where I have the opportunity to support other birthworkers. Being able to be this fellow doula’s doula was such an absolute joy, and I so enjoyed being able to support this wonderful family as they welcomed their second child into the world. Witnessing Melissa’s serene control and trust in her body was nothing short of extraordinary as she used her strength to birth her son.

I am so honored to have been invited into this space as their doula and was happy to also document their birth for them in these photo’s below.

My biggest love and congratulations to this new family of four, I send all my love and healing to your postpartum time.

Welcome to the World Baby F

I had the honor of capturing these images whilst doula-ing for this incredible couple as they welcomed their firstborn at Health Foundations Birthing Center this April.

Maria showed unwavering strength and diligence as she brought her baby earthside, and Reggie’s constant support and love really shone through the entire labor. They both worked so hard and their baby is so lucky to have such incredible parents. The team of Health Foundations were also so supportive and caring. One of Maria’s midwives midwife and founder of the birth center Amy Johnson-Grass was kind enough to take some pictures, so I’m actually in one of them. ;)

Thank you so much Maria and Reggie for having me play a role at welcoming your baby. I am so glad he’s here and wish you all the utmost joy and happiness.

Welcome to the World Baby L

The biggest congratulations and love to this incredible family. I was so honored and overjoyed to support them as their doula and capture these pictures of their beautiful journey in meeting their baby.

This family was so patient and cared for as they did ALL the things to welcome their son earthside. Jo is such an incredibly strong person and did an absolutely wonderful job birthing her baby.

Basking in the joy shared by everyone in the room as baby L took his first breath was a moment I won’t be soon to forget. Thank you for letting me walk with you as your doula.

Birth Photography for Baby N at Home

Had the extreme joy to capture these photos for this wonderful family of now 8 while doula-ing for them at their recent birth in their home in South Minneapolis.

Pretty sure my favorite picture of the bunch is the joy on Chelsae’s face as she announces the sex of the baby, and the laughter that then ensued when it wasn’t exactly what big brother was expecting.

Home birth has such a dear place in my heart, and to be able to witness the calm, grace, and strength that they welcomed their latest addition was so fabulous. A big shout out to the great care and compassion of lead midwife Emme of Trillium Midwifery (http://www.trilliummidwives.com/) and Corrine who was the assistant midwife.
