Had the extreme joy to capture these photos for this wonderful family of now 8 while doula-ing for them at their recent birth in their home in South Minneapolis.
Pretty sure my favorite picture of the bunch is the joy on Chelsae’s face as she announces the sex of the baby, and the laughter that then ensued when it wasn’t exactly what big brother was expecting.
Home birth has such a dear place in my heart, and to be able to witness the calm, grace, and strength that they welcomed their latest addition was so fabulous. A big shout out to the great care and compassion of lead midwife Emme of Trillium Midwifery (http://www.trilliummidwives.com/) and Corrine who was the assistant midwife.

It’s always a special day to visit doula babies as they grow older, so I was so happy to be able to catch up with this lovely family and and take some pictures of their little guy at 9 month old. I couldn’t get enough of this cutie and his wonderful mom and grandma. It’s such a privilege to be able to capture these moments.
